Three is a Charm; Three Month Blogiversary on Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras Day, New Orleans: Krewe of Kosmic D...

In 2007, a Mardi Gras celebration was held on Tuesday, February 20 in New Orleans. A group of  East Hartford High School students enrolled in a Spanish class received a rewarding opportunity to travel around various regions of Spain in February. The following road-map shows the entire trip throughout the week. The invaluable time spent on the extensive trip was very limited, but many cherished memories came along with the group arriving back to the United States across the Atlantic Ocean.

Carnival of Cádiz

The innocent moment of a young local child from Spain truly melts the heart.

According to the sign from the first picture, La Playa de Victoria was only right around the corner. The group arrived just in time after the carnival to experience the sunset. If only a Canon Rebel T3i came along for the trip. The shot would produce higher quality results.

Celebrating Mardi Gras 2013

Today, February 12th, 2013, marks the three-month blogiversary of on Mardi Gras! Although I am not traveling across the beautiful regions of Spain, it is a pleasure to acknowledge my three successful months here at WordPress with over 4,000 subscribers with almost 16,000 views! The party should start with acknowledging the followers.

I wake up every morning pleased to see more followers joining in the hopeless romantic community here at However, there will be some new changes around here very shortly. Although I love freedom, my office will still be in the bedroom.  I am planning on moving over to I am confident about this change because I will not only keep most of my total subscribers via email, but I will also be adding the plugins that we never experience here. One plugin will help me transfer my email and WordPress subscribers to the new hosting website. As far as ads go, I will keep my website clean with a select few. Sorry, but I am self-employed between two family businesses. My dad runs bus trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casino, and my cousin is a Coppersmith Tinsmith. I handcrafted over 200 switch plates with him. I make a reasonable pay per hour part-time with my cousin. He helps me out while I am trying to look for some other outlet to pay off my student loans. Unfortunately, I have not seen him in a few weeks due to the inclement weather. I hope you can all understand the future changes, and I hope I can accomplish more in the next month to come. I believe in a strong following network with quality produced content. This is my goal, and I am sticking to it. I have so many ideas for the next few months ahead. One of these ideas is to take more pictures with my Canon Rebel T3i. Stay tuned!

Take care everyone! Thank you so much for your support.

Perspiring Inspiration; The Very Inspiring Blogger Award

Hey everyone, I noticed I have fallen behind schedule for accepting award nominations. That is not very inspiring! Spank me! I will try my best not to enjoy it. I am very fortunate to receive two more Very Inspiring Blogger Award nominations! In almost three months, I have inspired almost 4,000 people on WordPress. That number alone motivates my soul to continue inspiring more people to inspire others. Inspiration is the new STD that we can all spread together! It is never too late!

First, I would like to announce a blog post suggestion and the latest new welcome message that most of you have yet to hear. In honor of all my beautiful followers and my sensual work, my three-month blogiversary on February 12, 2013 will have a special event of recognition. I may upload a video via YouTube or post an audio file via YourListen to announce my latest achievements with the WordPress community.  I need your help to move this along in the most effective way possible. You must all have questions to ask me! Please ask any question from general audience to mature audience. I will answer as many as I receive. You can submit these questions in the comment section below or submit them through the online opinion form.

Now, the latest welcome message for my blog is found at the upper right hand corner right above the email subscription button. I uploaded this as my first attempt. How do you feel about it? Would you like me to narrate, “An Erotic Masterpiece; A Painting of One Thousand Words,” as an MP3 file so you can carry it to bed with you? Personalized narrations are always sexy. Just imagine a young guy telling you a bedtime story without having him in your room! I can accommodate you with a small fee via PayPal. Let me know if there is any interest.

The Very Inspiring Blogger Award

Here are the rules of the award:

One Step Forward; A Brief Discussion on Controversial Resolutions for 2013

Source: Statistic Brain

Happy New Year! This year I will connect the WordPress community together to create an architectural relationship to build a networking neighborhood of support and guidance throughout 2013.  I am willing to lend a helping hand after reading many unique blogs on very controversial topics that receive barely any feedback or words of encouragement. Yeah, that is very unfortunate. This needs to change now.

Many bloggers want their voices heard, and I am willing to make it happen. These topics include weight loss, stress, depression, financial burdens, a pessimistic outlook on life, lack of inspiration for writing, no drive for success to do anything, hopeless romantics doubting chivalry, and conflicting relationships. I am willing to stay there for you, and everyone else reading this post. Let’s make a change today, tomorrow, and forever – together.

A compiled list of resolutions is easy to admire, but the lack of drive for success hinders the success rate of Americans trying to meet their resolutions every year. According to Statistic, a recent study from the University of Scranton in the Journal of Clinical Psychology published on December 13, 2012 on the New Year’s Resolution Statistics for 2012. Wait, why does this matter? The past is extremely important to understand how to make effective decisions for the future. No, leave politics out of this! We already know the damage. Thanks for your concerns for Congress’ spot in 2013. However, let’s focus on your place on the board game, “The Game of Life.”

The study focused on the following, “Top 10 New Year’s Resolutions for 2012″. These resolutions are commonly the primary focus every year for the last decade of American history. Although blood is thicker than water, family appears as the last thing to tackle for a resolutions list. That’s understandable. No, really, I have a family like that too.

Top 10 New Year’s Resolutions for 2012
 weightLose Weight
Getting Organized
Spend Less, Save More
life to the fullest quotes | TumblrEnjoy Life to the Fullest
Staying Fit and Healthy
Learn Something Exciting
Quit Smoking
Help Others in Their Dreams
Fall in Love
Spend More Time with Family

Do they seem reasonable and possibly familiar? Great. Common interests are always easier to discuss than trying to persuade someone a new idea, like eating dark chocolate in moderation is still part of a healthier diet.

Now, before I introduce the results of those resolutions for the previous year, we must focus on how many Americans feel the need to make these lists. Yeah, you might agree with the top ten of last year, but what is the percentage of Americans who feel the same way you do? What about the people who don’t make lists? Are they still driven to succeed with their motto, “Live life to the fullest” or do they have some other drive to succeed every year?

The study concluded the percentages of Americans who are either driven, infrequent or rarely making New Year’s resolution lists. Whether you are usually apt, seldom, or never making resolution lists, check out the following statistics:

New Year’s Resolution Statistics Data
Percent of Americans who usually make New Year’s Resolutions 45%
Percent of Americans who infrequently make New Year’s Resolutions 17%
Percent of Americans who absolutely never make New Year’s Resolutions 38%
Percent of people who are successful in achieving their resolution 8%
Percent who have infrequent success 49%
Percent who never succeed and fail on their resolution each year 24%
People who explicitly make resolutions are 10 times more likely to meet their goals than people who don’t explicitly make resolutions

Did you notice the interesting fact on the bottom of the table? Do you agree with this result? Are you more likely to meet your goals if you planned for them through resolution lists, or are you more successful without the compiled agenda? If you really wanted to lose weight, do you have to remind yourself before the year starts? Aren’t you motivated when you see someone walking by you who is either your idealistic image or someone bigger than you? It’s your life. You decide how you should organize your goals.

The following are organized goals by the type of resolution with categories summarized by self-improvement, health, financial ambitions, and relationships:

Type of Resolutions (Percent above 100% because of multiple resolutions) Data
Self-Improvement or education related resolutions 47%
Weight related resolutions 38%
Money related resolutions 34%
Relationship related resolutions 31%

The overall demand for change targets ourselves, and what we have to change or refine from within. Do you agree that you should change on the inside before you start shedding off those unnecessary pounds on the outside? Right – fat is on the inside as well, but we cannot see self-improvement with sugar-coated smiles. Smile simply because you are happy with your own life, not because you can.

Do you agree with money over relationships? I thought money doesn’t buy happiness! Well, let’s face it. It was close! Unless your friends and family are contributing to your money related ambitions, friendships will not pay the bills. Effective communication – certainly! Try to persuade the bill collectors this year! I am sure they will understand your “extenuating circumstances beyond your control.”

Age cannot be controlled. I’m sorry, but we are constantly aging by the millisecond! The study found that more people, around my age, do something from their resolution list than people around their own parents’ age. If you don’t agree with this, let me know. I am definitely in favor for this one. Although the number of participants is not known, 14% is certainly something to brag about.

Age Success Rates Data
Percent of people in their twenties who achieve their resolution each year 39%
Percent of people over 50 who achieve their resolution each year 14%

Are we there yet? The time it takes to complete the resolutions are typically the first week of the New Year, but how often are they carried out until June? If weight loss is a resolution, the summer may definitely play an important role in commitment. Who wouldn’t to flaunt their results?

Length of Resolutions Data
Resolution maintained through first week 75%
Past two weeks 71%
Past one month 64%
Past six months 46%

Now, what can we get from this study of last year’s resolutions to focus on the new beginning that starts today? Well, for starters, the resolution lists from last year will most likely transition into this year. No big deal with second chances. Are you going to continue making lists or will you live life without a predetermined path? Do you feel like proving the 10x chance at success is wrong without following a list this year?

Well, regardless, are you going to represent that lower percentage (8% from last year) to achieve what you wanted to achieve? Don’t ever place yourself as one of the 24% from last year who feel failure and regret to themselves and the people around them.

This study obviously did not mention how many subjects represented the country within six months. This study also lacked ethnicity, marital status, income, residential status (rural, urban or suburban), and of course – gender – to accurately determine who is part of the successful group of Americans. I am a 23-year-old, white male suburban resident of East Hartford, Connecticut. Do I have a greater chance at success than another 23-year-old, white male  Hartford? Regardless of my place for this year, what is yours?

It’s your life. Change starts now! Just breathe, keep pushing through every day, and understand that you do have support at WordPress and in your local area. Feel free to ask around.

If you have any weight loss blogs, please refer me to them at the comment section below. If you have any organizational blogs, with tips to organize and succeed, let me know those links as well. Are you a member of your own Frugal Anonymous group? Send me an invite to your next meeting! I will make a page to acknowledge these inspirational people.

WordPress community, let’s make a change today, tomorrow, and forever – together.

Note: I would have published this earlier, but I was spending quality time with my mother. 😉

Twenty Less Than 3; A Compiled New Year’s Resolution Post

Hey everyone! I am terribly sorry that I did not post for an entire week! Yes, I am still alive! I was busy with friends and family. Did you have a safe, warm family oriented Christmas? Did you meet your version of the Fockers? As the next year approaches within less than ten hours in China, ambition and drive overwhelms our minds until the first week of the New Year with barely any results. Does that sound familiar? Maybe a new slate is not necessarily easy to handle, but let me give you some encouragement.

Whether 2013 is a year for healthier diets, weight loss, throwing out the cancer sticks, finding a career, or establishing a love life, I wish you all the best of luck in your endeavors.  Don’t ever give up! It’s your life! Change starts now.

I have compiled a personal New Year’s resolution list below, and I hope to follow through with it, with the support of everyone within the WordPress community.

Prinze Charming has reached nearly 6,000 views of all time since the grand opening on November 12th, 2012. That is definitely an accomplishment already! I have visited plenty of blogs in the last month, noticing their views, and then their long compiled list of archives. I don’t have a long list of posts, but my reputation is extremely respectable. How does this happen? It’s simple. Commitment, quality, and support.

Stay committed to what you do for others and for yourself. Remember – this is advice for you to take into 2013. If you love what you are doing, continue doing it! If it is way too much to handle, slow down. I tried extremely hard to keep up articles every week. Blogging is like a full-time job!  I would hate to ask for donations as I try my best to find a legitimate career, but I have student loans to pay every month. The donation button is in my About Me section. As I mentioned, I will make sure to acknowledge these contributions on the bottom of my page. So, you will benefit from it by being listed as a great blog to follow. I will hope that my active followers visit your page for inspiration as well.

Quality is definitely important. I understand some people are writing about personal events in their life that might have inspired them. Is it really worth sharing the news that you had a similar sign from God in the movie, Running with Scissors? Probably not. Can you make it worth the visit?  Try to become more presentable.

Your voice is not only heard, but it’s read from many viewers. Ask yourself if you would read your own articles over and over. Would you actually share them with the world after you finish reading them? If the quality isn’t there, reorganize your intentions. Give your viewers something to indulge with enthusiasm! Invest their time wisely with what you have to say.

Lastly, support is definitely important. It’s not only the support for you, but for others. Are you a frequent user who only likes posts, but never comments on anything you ever liked? Fake? Yes. Supportive? Probably not.   In 2013, you should step out of your liking frenzy and start commenting. Believe it or not – it will actually improve your writing and your overall feedback. How hard is it to read a couple of articles a day and leave feedback on all of them? Make the best of it! In the last month that I have been here, I always found one other article that relates to one of my articles. That is an intense feeling to take an advantage of an opportunity and share something relevant to what I read from someone else. Maybe you don’t have anything else to share? Let someone else inspire you.

Poetically Captivating

Did I start with a bang or what? My first article, “An Erotic Masterpiece; A Painting of One Thousand Words,” deserves a lot of acknowledgement for reaching an extraordinarily high demand of reblogs within a short amount of time. This article, as well as my sensualist article,  is the main reason I’m here. I am the next young romance novelist. Is that my career goal? No. It is definitely something to have aside for those days when I need to relax and release passionate tension from within my soul.

I created Poetically Captivating to step aside from the engaging articles to something more loose and relaxed. I am glad to see some interest for my other poetic posts, and I hope to continue maintaining that blog just as well as this one. I am not going to reblog everything, so if you have interest, follow that one as well. As I said, this is almost like a full-time job. I hope to find a career more financially stable and promising in 2013.

I am a recent University of Connecticut graduate with a B.A. in Political Science. I would love to find government work experience at an entry-level. Is it easy? Maybe. Am I marketable? Extremely! My About Me section is almost designed as my résumé. I would add work experience, and remove my photogenic profile. With my linguistic background, I have many career paths available for me. I applied to many places, but persistence is definitely important. If the fish doesn’t bite the first time, reel it in and try again. I hope I find something soon. My student loans will continue to haunt me until they are entirely paid off.

Now, this is a very common topic for a New Years resolution list. What does a 23-year-old ask about concerning their health? Well, I am not a smoker. I am not an alcoholic, unless it’s intoxication of thy lips. So, what else would there be? Fitness. I would love to start running again. That would be amazing! I am definitely ready to throw some mileage down for 2013. When I have the job down the street, I will definitely walk to work.

Oh, ouch. What a cupid question! Too many daggers, not enough aim. No, just kidding. I am going to remain silent about this one. Let me just say this –  6 long years of being single. Does that mean I am alone? No. Does that mean I have cats? No, but yes I do have two cats. I am not using them as a part of my “forever alone” speech.

I am a compulsive buyer! When I see books like, “Seeds of Terror; How Drugs, Thugs, and Crime are Reshaping the Afghan War” or “Opium Nation; Child Brides, Drug Lords, and One Woman’s Journey Through Afghanistan,” I instantly buy books on impulse! Sorry, let me remind you. I have a B.A. in Political Science. I am primarily focused on Middle Eastern, European, and East-Asian studies. I would show you the covers of other books awaiting my fingertips, but then you’ll see how crazy I am about global issues. A book I could recommend from my International Political Economy (IPE) course from a while ago would be Joe Bennett’s, “Where Underpants Come From?” Now, this is an excellent book! It is extremely entertaining and educational. I would write more about it, but I have to cut this short. Sorry. Check out book reviews!

Novel? Oh, right! How is that coming along? Well, I hope to expand on it in 2013! My inspiration might actually come from recent life experiences! Yes, feel the envy build up inside. Mmm.

Did you know I have 31 published posts, including this one? I also managed to rack up 7 drafts!  Would you like a sneak peek at what could be published before concluding 2012? Ha, now why would I spoil the fun? Ok, fine. I’ll give you a few teases. The topics will include: Exhibitionist, online dating, kissing debate – snow or rain?, flower petals – do they really predict love?, decline in qualitative love – why is time prioritized?, and let me introduce – a personal confession that will make everyone speechless!  Stay tuned!

2013 will be primarily focused on the theme, “Twenty Less Than 3,” which would look like, “20<3,” instead of, “2013.” The catch? All it takes is less than three for success.

You and me.  ❤

I wish everyone the best of luck in health, happiness, and the rest of your endeavors of 2013! Don’t party too hard! Does anyone have any plans? First New Year’s kisses? Please share your stories! Let me know what you wish to read more about in 2013 from my blog! Maybe I should add more? Maybe start a photo section? Maybe I should stay away from certain topics? Let me know!

Thanks everyone for your support!

Take care!

Twenty Less Than 3; A Compiled New Year’s Resolution Post

Dusty Memories; Hoarding Unrequited Love

Dear Jamie, Followers and Passing Bloggers,

I am writing an article to you in a letter format because I want to effectively convey my thoughts on hoarding our love letters from adolescent years. How long is too long to keep them in a box somewhere up in the attic or down in the basement collecting dust? Should we reconsider scrap-booking to show our own children the days of puppy love?

In an era of technological change in communication, who considers themselves as a pen pal anymore? The cost for postal stamps is the catalyst hindering a traditional form of expression and admiration. Family and friends are now sending out Christmas postcards with a recent family picture as the postcard image. How many Christmas cards will you be sending out this year? Do you think Santa will feel the burden of the U.S. Postal Service? Children will have to save their wish lists on their computers and electronically send them out in time for Santa’s delivery!

The military families experience tedious battles of long distant relationships with the exchange of letters. There is also an exchange of uncertainty and fear, imagining that this letter could be the last one sent from them. I would like to take this moment to acknowledge the troops and their families. God bless you all for the strength and patience that you have achieved over the last few years. Stay strong and come back home soon.

Conveniently logging on to the Internet is a matter of seconds, the anticipation for another letter in the mail is invaluable. I was only twelve years old when I started chatting online in AOL chat rooms. There were only a few friends that wanted to write to me and send me a couple awkward school pictures enclosed in their letters. A decade later, I am still in contact with only two of those young women. They both have amazing partners, and I wish them the best of luck.

It is unfortunate that you cannot meet everyone you have known for several years over the Internet. However, you make the best of it in any situation and communicate with each other every other day.

In The Notebook (2004), a romantic love story between a poor, passionate man and a young, beautiful rich woman has changed the film industry forever. Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun face the challenges of a long distant relationship and the ineffective communication limited to the exchange of 365 written letters – every day for a year.

I have several letters from wonderful people across the United States. If I counted them all, I doubt I have more than three hundred of them. I have their love notes, adorably embarrassing pictures, and cards from different holidays. In high school, I have exchanged letters and notes throughout the school day with my peers. After going back down Memory Lane, I realized that I would feel empty and lost inside if I threw away everything. I could never detach myself from the homemade birthday cards to the letters suggesting that “I screwed your sister cause you’ re not worthy of my bangage [sic]!” The preserved inside jokes and the untold stories can bring back more than just rekindled emotions. You cannot relive the past, but you can carry the best experiences with you, especially if they are in written form. The minute you read a letter from the past or possibly right after a break-up, you have to ask yourself how you feel about keeping these letters of sentimental value. Would you rather let the past slip away through your fingers or do you frame the experiences that helped you become who you are today?

Saying Goodbye

How do we remove something from our lives that holds so much sentimental value? How can we replace those empty boxes that held the best written stories stocked up awaiting for another rainy day to enjoy them? Would you reconsider writing a romance novel from them?

Kalisha Buckhanon, author of Upstate, introduces a powerful and motivating love story told through the exchange of letters between a young teenage couple, Antonio and Natasha, during the 1990’s in New York. While Antonio’s accusation for a shocking crime went viral, the love for each other was also being testified. How long will absence grow the heart fonder? Well, I am not much of a spoiler when I review books, but Buckhanon conveys a poetic image at the end of her story when Natasha decides whether she will keep the letters or toss them away. It is a very intriguing book. If you did not read this in high school, please do it now.

Shredded Love, Toasted Hearts

Many businesses and households are buying shredders to remove their confidential documents and legal records for anyone who decides to rummage through the recycle bin. This temporary shred will only cut the paper in multiple strips, while another trend of removing personal documents may just spark an idea.

My dad is a pyromaniac who has managed to slip away from becoming an arsonist by following town ordinances on fire safety. I believe fire would be more of a symbolic and temporary rush. It would be poetic in the sense where a temporary burning desire starts off slow across the pieces of paper, eventually engulfed with warmth and rage. Then, the letters shrivel up and deteriorate into ashes. Whether you felt that the relationship would still have the potential to rekindle or not, that is entirely your decision. It is never too late to rekindle potential feelings, unless there is significant emotional damage and baggage from that relationship. If you know it would be a waste of time, push it aside.

I am not ready to burn a part of my past, but I do move on from everything that has happened. I can burn my research papers, but I would never analyze how much my writing has improved in the last eight years. I can burn everything I have received from past relationships, excluding materialistic gifts, but I cannot shred or burn the sentimental value that everything uniquely has on its own. Yes, Teddy, you’re still staying with me.

If something written to you a while ago still grabs you and hugs you tight, why should you let that go? Embrace those feelings and return back to them when you need them the most. If you kept something from the past that causes conflict in your current relationship or lifestyle, step away from the risks involved. Whether you are obsessively stalking someone on Facebook or Twitter, or telling their partners that they still care about you and not them, consider yourself warned.

Don’t Hate, Donate

If you have materialistic items from your past sitting on your bed since the first time you received them, keep them. If they are still in great condition,  stuffed animals are always welcomed for a generous donation to children hospitals or daycare centers. Ask around and see where you can drop them off. Although I would also consider having a yard sale, most of the people who stop by here in my neighborhood are looking for pet toys. Unless you have a sadistic sense of humor, I would suggest reserving Mr. Snuggles for a child who really wants him to come home that day. I am sure Mr. Snuggles would not mind at all, especially far away as possible  from the other misfit toys that still linger from your childhood.

Do you still have love letters, teddy bears or their jacket you borrowed? Comment below and tell me all about it!

Also, ask yourself if you could take those items and dispose of them properly, how would you do it? Did you remove them from your life before? How did you do it, and would you change the way you took matters in your own hands?

Until next time, take care.

Bloggers I Like

It is an honor, and a new friendship. My blog has been recently added on cherispeak‘s Bloggers I Like page, providing the warmest feedback ever given to me on This amazing woman, with a heart full of gold, has mentioned the following for the world to see:

“An amazing blog of gentlemanly and sensual writings that men could learn from and women will melt from.
